William K. Christian, M.D. attended medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine (ranked as the #1 primary-care medical school in the country for the last fifteen consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report). After an internship year, he then completed a three year residency in ophthalmology at Yale University School of Medicine, where he received intensive training in all aspects of eye surgery and in the management of eye diseases. Following his residency training, Dr. Christian pursued further sub-specialty training by undertaking a one year fellowship in Cataract and Refractive Surgery at the Assil Eye Institute in Beverly Hills, CA. Dr. Christian’s prestigious and extensive specialized training has enabled him to provide the highest quality in cataract (with implantation of premium intraocular lens) and refractive surgery (LASIK, Epi-LASIK, PRK, implantable contact lenses), while utilizing the latest surgical techiniques and the very best in cutting-edge technology.

Dr. Christian has published numerous scientific papers and book chapters in prominent ophthalmology journals and textbooks. His research is focused on the advancement of cataract and refractive (LASIK) surgery. He is a member of various professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the American Medical Association.

His expertise is in all aspects of refractive surgery (LASIK, Epi-LASIK, PRK), phakic IOL implantation (Implantable Contact Lens), advanced cataract surgery with implantation of premium intraocular lenses (multi-focal and accommodating lenses), refractive lens exchange, as well as a variety of other anterior segment surgeries and medical laser procedures.
