Clinical Director
Dr. Shirley Lambert joined Paradise Valley Eye Specialists in 1989. She
has extensive experience in evaluations for pre- and post-surgical cases
(refractive, cataract and glaucoma), diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration,
and muscle problems. In addition to being certified to diagnose and treat
ocular diseases, Dr. Lambert has a large practice providing quality comprehensive
eye examinations and contact lens care. She also serves as Clinical Director
for Horizon Eye Specialists & Lasik Center.
Dr Lambert attended Arizona State University on a full academic scholarship,
where she earned her B.A and M.A., graduating with distinction. She then
attended the Southern California College of Optometry, receiving her Doctor
of Optometry degree, graduating as valedictorian of her class. She served
as a teaching assistant in binocular vision and contact lenses during
this time, earning several honors and awards, including the Reichert Scientific
Instruments Award and the Beta Sigma Kappa Silver Medal Award. She then
completed a residency in Secondary Ophthalmic Care (Ocular Diseases and
Pathology) at OMNI Eye Services in Phoenix.
In addition to lecturing and publishing, Dr. Lambert is active in state
and national professional organizations and has served as President of
the Central Arizona Optometric Society.
