Glaucoma and Cataract Surgeon

Dr. Sara Ghobraiel is a board certified, fellowship trained specialist in cataract and glaucoma surgery. She employs the latest technology enabling her to perform Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery as well as more traditional surgery in complex cases.

Dr. Ghobraiel graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She earned her Medical Degree at New York University in Manhattan, graduating with honors. She completed her General Surgery internship and Ophthalmology Residency at her alma mater of NYU. Deciding to pursue further sub-specialization, Dr. Ghobraiel went on to complete her fellowship in Glaucoma at Northwestern University in Chicago.  

She is both a member in the local Phoenix Ophthalmological Society as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology. 

Dr. Ghobraiel's hobbies include trying new plant-based meals with her husband, and spending time with her adorable dog Tim and cat Schmidt. 

 

Dr. Ghobraiel sees patients at the Scottsdale, Peoria, Central, Desert Ridge, and Sun City offices.
